About
I began playing guitar at the age of 15 in 1978. At the time Ace Frehley was my guy,,, until I saw Rush on their Hemispheres tour in Topeka, KS. A high school violin prodigy who was giving me my first set of guitar lessons told me to go see Alex Lifeson, said it would be worth “10 lessons”. My next eye openers would be Jean-Luc Ponty, Jeff Beck, and Mike Elliot (Diffusion).
Melody has always been what draws me to music no matter which instrument plays it. Following a stint in the Navy, I went to school to major in music which got derailed by a psychology class. I continued on to get a Masters degree in that field, but never stopped playing my instrument, taking lessons and making my own melodies. I was never drawn to learning other people’s songs, honestly it was always hard for me. So now, in my early 60’s it’s time to share my music.
Residing in Austin, TX I aim to locate the people who will feel the same way I do about all the music I love.
